Valerie Stephens, respiratory therapist at CarolinaEast Health System feels the weightiness of the fourth wave of the coronavirus. She has witnessed many unnecessary deaths caused by the virus, and it’s taken its toll on her.

“There’s been many times when I’ve gone to take a bathroom break, and I just broke down crying in the bathroom,” she said.

It has been a long, hard fight for frontline workers, like Stephens. She’s asking the public to do their part to stop the virus by getting vaccinated. It might save someone else’s life, but it could save your life, too.
